Whether it is your first time having your eyebrows microbladed, you may have questions about the process. Below are the most common questions asked about microblading. If you have any additional questions, please contact Adaa Artistry Inc.
How long do the microblading results last?
Once healed results last an average of 1 - 2 years. Since every skin is different results may vary.
Does the microblading process hurt? Will I feel any pain?
Most clients compare the pain to getting your eyebrows threaded. Sensitive clients may experience temporary pain and some report no pain at all and may even fall asleep. We use a topical anesthetic before and during the procedure to numb the affected area.
How long does a typical microblading appointment last?
A typical microblading appointment takes 2 - 3 hours, with most of the time spent drawing eyebrow shapes. The microblading portion lasts 30 - 45 minutes.
How do I prepare for my microblading appointment?
In the week before your appointment it is recommended to avoid the following: blood thinners, aspirin, alcohol, fish oil or using retinol creams. Please consult your physician if you have a medical condition and/or are taking medications.
How long does it take to heal after the microblading procedure?
You'll be able to wear your new brows back to lunch! In the first 7 - 10 days you will need to avoid getting them wet, working out or wearing brow makeup. It takes about 15 days to completely heal, in which time you may experience mild scabbing.
After my microblading procedure, what should I do in order to take care of them?
Stay out of the sun and water while your microblading heals. Avoid chlorine, exfoliation creams and sun exposure; they may cause your color to fade. It is recommended to apply a very small amount of ointment (provided) twice a day.
When should I get a microblading touch up?
Microblading is a two-step process and for your convenience we offer a complimentary touch up between 6 - 8 weeks of your initial microblading appointment.
Can I get microblading done while I'm pregnant?
No, it is not recommended to have a microblading procedure while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Who is NOT eligible for microblading?
We do not provide microblading for people: under 18 years old, pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid scar disorder, HIV/hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia or if you're taking skin medications like accutaine and/or steroids.
Can I get microblading done if I have a scar in my brow area?
If you have a scar, please contact us and provide a picture so that it can be determined if you are a good candidate. Microblading is great for covering up most yet not all scars.
Does microblading work on all skin tones and skin types?
Yes! Microblading works on all skin tones and types. Oily skin may need more frequent touch ups. If you suffer from Keloid disorder, it is recommended that you should not undergo a microblading procedure.
What is the difference between microblading and micropigmentation?
Technically microblading is a form of micropigmentation, but we use a microblade to hand draw individual hair strokes. Micropigmentation specialists use a permanent makeup machine, which offers less control and results in blurrier strokes.
Does it look like real hair?
Yes as each individual hair is drawn in to mimic your natural hair growth and pattern.
